Hennessy Strategies Welcomes Lance Wissinger as Director of Political Operations

Fort Myers, FL – Hennessy Strategies is excited to announce that Lance Wissinger has joined the firm as Director of Political Operations. With an extensive background in public policy, grassroots advocacy, and political strategy, Lance will be instrumental in driving impactful initiatives and advancing Hennessy Strategies' mission to deliver bold strategies for brave ideas across the political landscape.

Lance brings a wealth of experience and an inspiring personal story to his new role. A resident of Southwest Florida since 2003, Lance is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to transformative change. He is the founder of LightMark Aerial, an innovative drone technology company that has spearheaded solutions for a variety of industries, from emergency operations to environmental management. His forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and technology integration has earned him recognition as a leader in the field.

Lance’s political career is equally distinguished. He served as Political Coordinator for the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC), playing a pivotal role in the successful passage of Amendment 4, which restored voting rights to formerly incarcerated individuals in Florida. His strategic work in Tallahassee during the legislative process helped secure this landmark victory, making a lasting impact on the state’s criminal justice reform.

Most recently, Lance was Grassroots Engagement Director for Americans for Prosperity, where he built and mobilized grassroots advocacy efforts across the Tampa Bay area. His ability to engage communities and lead campaigns has positioned him as a key figure in Florida’s political landscape.

Lance’s personal journey adds another layer to his leadership and advocacy. After a life-altering decision led to a five-year incarceration, Lance emerged with a determination to be a positive force for change. He took on leadership roles within the prison system, creating programs such as SCORE and Toastmasters International to help incarcerated individuals develop business skills and public speaking abilities. His perseverance and commitment to empowerment have inspired countless others.

In addition to his advocacy work, Lance has held leadership positions with the Southwest Florida American Advertising Federation, Ft. Myers Toastmasters, and the Lee County Republican Liberty Caucus. His passion for driving policy change, coupled with his strategic thinking and ability to unite communities, will be a tremendous asset to Hennessy Strategies.
